Configuration File ================== The `config.yaml` file provides the configuration parameters for the pQCD module. An example configuration file is shown below: .. code-block:: yaml grid: muB_min: 1000.0 muB_max: 2000.0 muB_step: 10.0 muQ_max: 0.0 muQ_min: 0.0 muQ_step: 5.0 muS_max: 0.0 muS_min: 0.0 muS_step: 5.0 options: alphaS: 0.0 compute_susceptibilities: true filter_rows_with_nan: true running_coupling: true running_strange_mass: true strange_mass: 0.0 physical_parameters: g_const: 18.0 m_down: 0.0 m_up: 0.0 n_colors: 3 n_flavors: 3 n_gluons: 8 renormalization_scale: muB_constant: 0.6666667 muQ_constant: 0.3333333 muS_constant: 0.0 Here we explain the available parameters in more detail: **Grid** - `muB_min`, `muB_max`, `muB_step`: Define the range and step size for the baryon chemical potential grid (in MeV). - `muQ_min`, `muQ_max`, `muQ_step`: Define the range and step size for the quark chemical potential grid (in MeV). - `muS_min`, `muS_max`, `muS_step`: Define the range and step size for the strange chemical potential grid (in MeV). **Options** - `alphaS`: Only used if `running_coupling` is set to false. It defines the fixed value of the strong coupling constant :math:`\alpha_s`. - `compute_susceptibilities`: If true, the module will compute the susceptibilities in addition to the thermodynamic variables. - `filter_rows_with_nan`: If true, the module will filter out any rows in the output that contain NaN values. - `running_coupling`: If true, the module will compute the strong coupling constant :math:`\alpha_s` as a function of the renormalization scale. - `running_strange_mass`: If true, the module will compute the strange quark mass as a function of the renormalization scale. - `strange_mass`: Only used if `running_strange_mass` is set to false. It defines the fixed value of the strange quark mass (in MeV). **Physical Parameters** - `g_const`: The strong coupling constant at the renormalization scale (dimensionless). - `m_down`: The down quark mass (in MeV). - `m_up`: The up quark mass (in MeV). - `n_colors`: The number of colors in QCD (dimensionless). - `n_flavors`: The number of quark flavors (dimensionless). - `n_gluons`: The number of gluons in QCD (dimensionless). **Renormalization Scale** - `muB_constant`, `muQ_constant`, `muS_constant`: Constants used to define the renormalization scale :math:`\Lambda` as a function of the chemical potentials. The renormalization scale is defined as: .. math:: \Lambda=\sqrt{(2\pi T)^2+((\mu_B \cdot \text{muB\_constant} + \mu_Q \cdot \text{muQ\_constant} + \mu_S \cdot \text{muS\_constant}))^2}.
